This walk is deeply personal to me. As Emmett’s cousin, I grew up with the weight of his story, but also the fire that Mamie lit when she chose to show the world what happened to her son. This campaign is about inviting everyday people to walk with us, to recommit to truth and justice, and to ensure that Emmett and Mamie’s sacrifices are never erased.

I walk to continue Mamie and Emmett Till’s Justice In Motion Carry Mamie and Emmett’s Legacy forward. Celebrating today Sept 3, 2025 70 years ago today a crime committed August 28th, 1955 and Justice wasn’t prevailed by white supremacists in Mississippi. My heart bleeds But I still have hope we shall over come someday, by “Martin Luther King, Jr.”.

I will always remember the story told about how Emmett Till was tortured and beaten to death by White men for no good reason unjustified.

He was a sweet and innocent child with a big huge and beautiful smile. My heart hurts as if he was my only child. I stand with Mamie Till-Mobley in her past heartbreaking pain and her movement for support. May God continue to be with us in the land of America. We must rise, stand tall and keep our head up high! And, continue her fight for Equality, fight for justice, and keep Emmett’s story alive and in the school systems to teach our youth teaching the truth because the truth will set us free. RDHall
